Cookie Policy

Last updated: 09/10/26

This Cookie Policy explains how Tables Dating Events uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, tablesdatingevents.co.uk.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. We call them all "cookies" in this policy.

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

Our website does not need any cookies to work. The only thing we store on your device without asking is your cookie choice itself, so that we don't ask you again on every page.

  • tables-analytics-consent - remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies. Kept in your browser's local storage until you clear it or change your choice below.

Analytics (only if you accept)

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website - for example which pages and events are viewed, and how many people tap through to buy tickets - so we can make it better. These cookies are only set if you tap "Accept" on our cookie banner.

  • _ga - Google Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 12 months.
  • _ga_<ID> - Google Analytics. Keeps track of your current visit. Expires after 12 months.

If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics may still receive basic information that doesn't identify you or your device (such as that a page was viewed), which it uses to estimate overall visitor numbers. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising

We do not use any advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising.

3. Embedded Content From Other Websites

Some pages show content from other services, which may set their own cookies when that content loads. We don't control these cookies - please see each provider's own policy:

  • Google Maps - the venue map on our event pages.
  • YouTube - the videos on our Organisers page.
  • Daily - the video calls during our online events, which may store what's needed for the call to work.

Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. When you tap "Get tickets" you go to Eventbrite's own website, where their cookie policy applies.

4. Managing Your Cookies

You can accept or decline analytics cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time - this button clears your choice, removes any Google Analytics cookies we have set, and shows the banner again:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking all cookies won't stop our website from working.

5. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
